Being a self -taught jewelry artist since my teens has led me down
the path of creating exciting pieces of wearable art. Redesigning
jewelry was my passion. Cool Beads was born in 2001 and I now have
a full-time business creating beautiful custom-made designs.
My husband, Greg, has been a recording engineer for 30 years.
Working in his studio for 16 years brought another layer to my
designing. The creativity of the musicians fueled my love of jewelry
even more. My designs now have rhythm and passion cascading through
them.
My signature piece of jewelry, "Beads on a Roller Coaster"
was creatively named by a passerby admiring my latest necklace. The
design is unique to this industry. Every necklace is custom made with
beautiful one-of-a-kind glass swirling around the strands of wire.
Working with some of the most talented lamp work artists in the
country affords me the flexibility to spend more time creating the pieces
rather than actually making the beads. Although, sitting at my torch
gives me the quiet, peaceful solitude an artist often needs.
The compliments received from my customers is my greatest reward.
They know you don't have to spend a fortune to get a unique, original piece
of art. They tell me what they're looking for, perhaps it's
a special occasion, and they're always delighted by the end result.
Taking a concept from the drawing board to the finished piece
is an exciting adventure. My goal is that each design is my customer's
favorite piece and they will take as much pride in wearing it as I do in
creating it.
